Foundation speaks at Cline


FISD Education Foundation Vice President Allan Rasmussen spoke to parents at the Cline PTO recently and shared with them information about the Foundation and its Adopt a Grant program. New grants will be posted Dec 1 for adopting. This year the FEF plans to go over the $1 million mark in giving to the FISD teachers in grants since 1999.

National Writing Contest


Maddie Keefe, a FHS student who has low vision, placed 2nd in a national writing contest sponsored by the National Federation of the Blind. This contest was all about Braille, and all the entries were required to be submitted in Braille. Her short story is titled Somebody. Maddie is the daughter of Kelly Keefe of Friendswood.
