FHS choirs to present annual Pop Show this Friday, Saturday

Friendswood High SchoolChoirs will present Broadway and Beyond,the annual Choir Pop Show, on Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17, at 7 pm inthe FHS Auditorium. FJH ROBOTICS

Five Friendswood Junior High students who competed at the State Robotics Tournament were recognized at the May meeting of the FISD School Board. In the Arena team, members included Vishal Bhongir, Adam Warren and Brandon De La Fuente. In the Inventions team were Alex Stroumpos and Jenna Horn. Coaches (not pictured) were PJ Givens and Lori Spangle.

WRANGLERETTES

The Friendswood High School Wranglerettes were honored at the May FISD Board of Trustees meeting. At Crowd Pleasers Competition in March, the Wranglerettes were named National Champion Team Members and both Dance Officers and Social Officers National Champions.

Tennis players recognized

Friendswood High School Seniors Joann Karam (not pictured) and Justin Vu (left) were honored at the May FISD Board of Trustees meeting. Trustee Robert McCabe (right) recognized the students for their tennis accomplishments: District Champions, Regional Champions and third place at the State Tournament.

Girls Soccer

Members of the Friendswood High Girls Soccer team were honored by School Board Member Dr. David Montz (right) at the May Board meeting. This year, the team advanced to the State Soccer Tournament.

Forensics Competitors

Three forensics competitors who competed at the State level were honored at the May FISD Board of Trustees meeting by Board Member Tony Hopkins (right). One of the three is going to Nationals. Golfers recognizes at Celebration of Excellence

    Five golfers who advanced to the State Golf Tournament, Aron Hetsko, Harrison Slone, Bryce Dooley, Robert Todd and Daniel Bradley were honored at the May FISD Board Meeting by Trustee Mike Shaw (right). This is the first time in the past 29 years golfers from FHS advanced to State.

FCCLA Honored

Friendswood students excelled at the Family Career and Community Leaders of America competition in April and were honored at the FISD May School Board meeting by Trustee Dr. Matt Robinson. Amy Peryam competed in Live Event Planning, Taylar  Gomez competed in Fashion Design, Ashley Cao and Rachel Cao competed in Promote and Publicize FCCLA and won fourth place. Felicity Yiu and Gabby Le competed in Environmental Ambassador and won first place.
